In recent months, the board of directors and coordinators  have talked about the future of the Big Valley Area Business Association. It is a busy and exciting time in many businesses, and adding yet another meeting to an already full schedule can be difficult for business owners. We understand that the needs of our businesses have changed and we wish to keep up with those changes. In doing so, the board of directors has decided to transition from The Big Valley Area Business Association to simply “Visit Big Valley” which will be run exclusively by Rick and Vicki Hamilton who have been the coordinators for the past several years.  This transition will still include all of the previous benefits you have enjoyed in the past, along with some new and exciting changes coming in the following year.
In our time with the Association, we have helped start the member-exclusive Visitor’s Center, located in the heart of Belleville. This Center is advertised in various literature throughout the year, and includes a large canvas map listing the location of member businesses. We have also helped to bring you the yearly Big Valley Guide which is distributed throughout the state (and some throughout the country upon request!).
We have had fun growing our website and social media presence, photographing and doing videos throughout the valley. We look forward to Harvestfest every year, and enjoying sharing about our businesses to the many vendors and visitors to that event. Keep an eye on this portion of our web site as we post stories about Big Valley Businesses and people. We also plan to create a youtube channel with sites and sounds of the Valley.
Thank you for letting us be a part of Big Valley for the last 35 years and we look forward to moving ahead with Visit Big Valley.
